How do I choose the right frame size?

The surest way to find the right frame size is to compare the frame's measurements with your current glasses.

Where can I find the measurements?

You'll find the measurements on every frame's product page: width, bridge and temple length (the temples are the arms of the glasses). The measurements of your own glasses are often printed on the inside of the temple, for example "52-18-145" (lens width – bridge – temple length).

Note: the first number on the inside of the temple is the width of one lens, not the width of the whole frame. On our product pages, Frame width means the width of the whole frame, so make sure you compare the right measurements.

What do the measurements mean?

  • Frame width – the width of the whole front of the frame, from edge to edge
  • Bridge width – the width of the gap for your nose between the lenses, at its narrowest point
  • Temple length – the length of the temple from the hinge to the tip

How do I compare with my own glasses?

If your current glasses fit well, choose a frame with measurements as close to them as possible – a difference of a few millimetres usually doesn't matter. You can also adjust the temples at home, so temple length is the most flexible measurement.

In the online store you can filter frames by width, shape, colour and material: banaanieyewear.com/collections/silmalasit

The product page also has a virtual try-on, which shows the frames on your face with your camera. The virtual try-on gives you a rough idea only – always use the frame measurements as well.

We don't offer home try-on – we don't send frames to try before you order. Ordering is still risk-free: you have 100 days from the day you receive your glasses to return or exchange them, and returns and exchanges are completely free. Email us at info@banaanieyewear.fi and we'll send you a return label and simple instructions.
