Getting used to new glasses can take a little while – especially with progressive glasses, your eyes need time to get used to the new image. We recommend wearing the glasses regularly for at least two weeks before you do anything else.
1. First, try adjusting the position of the frames
If the glasses still don't feel right after this period, the most common reason is that the lenses don't sit at the right height or at the right angle in front of your eyes. You can often fix this yourself:
- Distance vision is blurry → lower the frames (move the nose pads further apart or adjust the tilt angle).
- Near vision is blurry or the reading area is hard to find → raise the frames (move the nose pads closer together or adjust the tilt angle).
- You feel dizzy → check that the lenses are at the same level and tilted by the same amount.
Instructions: How do I adjust the tilt angle of my glasses? and how to adjust the temples and nose pads, with a video.
Wear the adjusted glasses for 1–2 days. We take responsibility for the adjustments – if the frames break, we'll make you new glasses free of charge.
2. If adjusting doesn't help: re-centring the lenses
We'll make you new glasses with re-centred lenses free of charge, based on a selfie taken from the front. Send the following to info@banaanieyewear.fi:
- Your order number
- A short description of the problem (for example: the reading area feels narrow, distance vision is blurry, the image looks tilted) and which adjustments you tried
- A selfie taken straight from the front with the glasses on
- If you measured your pupillary distance (PD) yourself, check it once more before you send your message (how to measure your PD)
3. 100-day returns
There's no rush to get used to progressive lenses: you have 100 days. If you don't get used to them, you'll get new glasses or your money back. Your 100 days start again when you receive your re-centred glasses.
