How do I clean my lenses?

Cleaning your lenses the right way keeps them clear and helps prevent scratches.

Washing with water

Rub a drop of pH-neutral washing-up liquid between your fingers until it foams, and spread it on the lenses. Rinse with lukewarm running water and dry gently but thoroughly with a microfibre cloth.

Cleaning spray and cloths

A cleaning spray with a microfibre cloth works just as well as washing under running water. Spray the liquid onto the cloth, not directly onto the lenses – liquid that keeps getting into screw holes and drill holes, for example, can cause damage over time.

What to avoid

Don't use paper tissues or your shirt sleeve. They carry dust and dirt particles that cause micro-scratches – and scratches can't be removed from lenses.

Also remember

Keep your glasses in a hard case, and don't expose them to high heat.
